Dog Rose Bare Root Hedging

Rosa canina/ Grow in any moist, well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Tolerates coastal and windy sites. 

Also known as Wild Briar, this rose is very prickly with a scrambling habit. The pink, scented flowers in summer are followed by a show of red rose hips in the autumn. Very tough and fully hardy.

Site/soil: Good choice for a mixed native hedge.

Plant out: 45 -60cm (2.5-3ft)

Maintenance:  Prune in late winter.
