A popular evergreen Japanese honeysuckle plant Halliana is a very vigorous honeysuckle climber with fragrant white flowers that age to a soft yellow. This Japanese honeysuckle plant blooms from spring into late summer, bearing black berries in the autumn. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Soil: Lonicera japonica Halliana grows in any well drained soil.
Site: Sun or partial shade. This honeysuckle variety is fully hardy.
Height: 8 - 10m
Pruning: In first or second year of growth prune back to about 1 metre in February to encourage branching. In subsequent years prune in February, removing any dead wood and prune out some growth lower down to encourage new stems.
