Grazing Rye is not to be confused with ryegrass. It has an extensive root system for improving soil structure. Broadcast seed in August to November for digging in during the spring before the flower heads begin to form. Improve your soil fertility, increase the humus content, improve the structure of the soil or simply blanket the bare soil and suppress weed growth whilst the ground is not in use. When to sow: Mid August to end of November. How to sow: Broadcast at 25g per m² or 1cm deep, in rows 20cm apart. Growing time: Over winter. Soil type: All soils. Digging in: As soon as possible in early spring, just before flower heads form in plant base.
