Think of a summer garden in the UK and beautiful, fragrant roses will spring to mind.  Gorgeous climbers, hybrid tea roses, floribunda roses, rambling, patio, shrub and more in a rainbow of different colours.  The national flower of England has a truly quintessential appeal for all ages.

We love roses so much the team are dedicating nine days to celebrating this favourite summer flower, with a Rose Festival starting on Saturday 22nd June.

The festival features a rose trail with themed areas helping rose-lovers find the variety best suited to your garden  Whether you’re an absolute beginner, looking for a rose to complement your archway, or searching out some blooms to brighten up a shady area of outdoor space you can find exactly what you are looking for in the extensive outdoor rose area.

Advice and guidance will be available from our Groves rose experts – we grow them so we know them!  In fact, the plant nursery at Groves grows over 5000 roses a year in over 100 different varieties, all in peat-free compost.

While you’re in-store, pick up the Groves Rose Care Calendar to help get the best out of your roses once home and planted, check out the offers and make sure you enter the special Festival competition.  The winner will receive a beautiful rose-themed treat hamper packed full of gardening goodies.

If all that rose-smelling makes you hungry, pop into Ivy House Kitchen at Groves Bridport to enjoy a tasty treat and a sit down – the café serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, hot and cold drinks and a selection of cakes in the sunny, modern and spacious surroundings.

The full Groves rose selection is available at Groves Bridport, and some varieties are also on sale at Little Groves in Beaminster.  Head in-store to enjoy the Rose Festival from Saturday 22nd June to Sunday 30th June and immerse yourself in the beautiful range.

Alternatively, if it suits you better simply order online for click & collect or home delivery.

As well as our popular café, Ivy House Kitchen, Bridport Groves is also home to the plant nursery and has a large plant area including indoor plants and trees.  You’ll also find landscaping and garden buildings as well as garden help and a good choice of compost and gravel.   We offer a large pet shop, a selection of gifts and food items plus garden furniture and garden décor ranges.  Groves Nurseries is easy to spot just off the Crown Roundabout on the A35 through Bridport.

Our sister site Little Groves are renowned for their brilliant herb selection and are accessed from the A3056 on the northern outskirts of Beaminster.
