This reliable variety has good quality med-large fruits on long
trusses so is easy to harvest, high juice content. Crops from late July. Dig in
plenty of organic matter (garden compost or well-rotted manure), before
planting. Grow in any well-drained soil in full sun (tolerates some shade. Grow
as cordons against supports (cut back all side shoots to 4 leaves from base) or
as bushes (prune out 1/3 of old growth every year). Mulch every spring &
feed during growing season. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
