Description
An unusual Dr Keith Hammet variety - small flowered with a unique tri-colouration and veining. Cream with rose-pink edged picotee. Highly fragrant, offering that something different to the sweet pea enthusiast. This variety really is a Sweet Pea growers dream. Hardy Annual.
- When to Sow - September to April
- Where to Sow - September sowings in flowering site 2cm (3/4") deep. If sowing later, sow 5 seeds into a 7.5cm deep pot using a good quality seed sowing compost. Keep in a cold frame and don't allow the soil to dry out, but don't overwater. January sowings can be placed in a heated glasshouse. April sowings can be made direct to the flowering site.
- What to do Next - Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick your sweet peas regularly to encourage new growth.
