Pamela Zambra Large Flowered Devon Type Violet

This has large flowers of violet- blue, shading to purple. Slightly later flowering. Known locally as the non-scented 'Devon Type' of violets, although this one has a slight perfume before it is cut. They have extra long stems, large flowers, shiny leaves & are resistant to Red Spider Mite. They die back every winter. Flowering time: late winter to early spring. Grow in humus rich, moist but well drained neutral - alkaline soil. They require winter sun & summer shade i.e. under deciduous trees, shrubs & hedges or under herbaceous plants. Fully hardy.
