How to Sow Italian Basil Seeds
Indoors
Sow in soilless compost in trays or small pots from April. Cover with glass and maintain at 25oC until germination takes place. Prick off into small pots when large enough to handle and reduce temperature to 20oC. May be planted outside but not before mid-June.
Outdoors
Sow outside after mid-June. (Outside sowing is not advised in the North). Grow in a rich soil and water at midday when hot to allow the soii to dry before the evening.
